You've reached Dr. Niguel. If this is an emergency, hang up and call the damn emergency service. I do research, not first aid. If you still think you've got the right number, leave a message and I might call you back.
[wow Victor, what a welcoming voicemail you have. If Derek's looking a bit more worried than he usually looks (which is probably quite a bit worried, since he's usually easy-going enough for the most part), that is because he is.]
Hey, uh, Victor, do you have time right now? I might need your help with something.
[Victor answers several minutes later, his hair looking a bit rumpled and the bags under his eyes somewhat more prominent than usual. He was taking a nap after pulling an all-nighter researching some of Ob Holm's native diseases that he's not familiar with. You never know when that'll become useful.]
[he does notice that Victor looks a bit more unkempt than he would otherwise, and despite what's currently on his mind, he can't help but feel bad about it. Mostly because Victor gets way too engrossed in his work and seems like he only rests when needed.]
I'm sorry if I woke you up. I need you to test something for me, though. I'd try it myself, but... [but he does not know how to work your crazy science machines]
[AND DEEP BREATH because while he does want a definite diagnosis, part of him, as stupid as it will sound, doesn't want to worry people. Given the lack of surgeons, the number of patients here, and the disease he was trying to either rule out or narrow his symptoms down to and how it needed to be treated, well... it's easy to see how that would worry people.]
Well, I need you to test... me. I've been short of breath and having chest pain lately, and I'd like to hopefully rule certain things out.
[That sounds ominous. He knows what it could possibly be, but that's because he knows what to look for. The symptoms aren't out of the ordinary otherwise.]
[Good, he's got the right inbox. Natsuno pauses for a moment before speaking:]
Excuse me, sensei. I've been referred to you by your co-worker, Stiles-sensei. He mentioned that your specialty is creating and studying cures for various conditions.
I have a medical issue regarding my acquaintance's condition. I'm not sure if Stiles-sensei has already informed you ahead or not, but I'll tell you the rest after contacting me again.
[Natsuno is glad for the quick response. With that, he doesn't delay as well.]
Thank you for returning the call. And, of course. Our fellow acquaintance, Gareki, mentioned to me that it is an allergy case.
The patient, Yogi, displays violent tendencies whenever his medicinal patch runs out. He loses sense of himself, appearing to be an entirely different person if the medicine is not present. When the medicine is reapplied, he passes out but is healed after awakening. He's not aware of what's happening to him whenever the "switch" attacks him.
I have no idea what's inside of this medicine, but without the doctor from his world that creates it, we have no means of multiplying this patch. That's why I've approached you.
I'm hoping that you can analyze this medicinal patch, so we can possibly find out what this allergy really is. Stiles-sensei is handling the check-ups on Yogi as well, should you need updates on his condition. I have an unused sample, so I can deposit it anytime.
Huh. [He sounds very much interested. It's a unique case.] Drop it off at Caduceus when you've got time and tell them to send it over to R&D. The analysis and replication shouldn't be too much trouble. Any idea what it is that triggers the "allergy"?
[Natsuno is still fairly new to Somarium, so he hasn't figured out the names of certain places yet.
Meanwhile, it is a huge relief to know that multiplying the patch won't be trouble at all. Even if he didn't react to it... Behind the call, he is grateful enough.]
No. I've tried to ask him, but he keeps dodging it and giving me vague answers. However, he did admit to me that he doesn't remember anything...
Whenever he loses consciousness, he doesn't remember anything beforehand. All he can recall is pain and blanking out.
[After Natsuno said that particular part, the idea came back to him. That's right, on that day...]
Ah. Right before the "switch" happens, as if he has a split personality surfacing, he looked incredibly worn out and tired. At that moment, he looked very dizzy... Though, before I could ask him how he exactly felt, he changed into his violent side.
[He jots down notes about the description of the condition and adds in a memo to have the individual placed under observation for an outbreak, if it's safe to do so. It should go without saying that he will need to meet the patient as well, but one thing at a time.]
It's the main hospital of the residential district. Your Dreamberry's map should have the location stored.
A conference to educate others who are unfamiliar with two high risk infectious diseases will be held on October 17th, Caduceus Conference Room C, 5 pm. Dr. Stiles shall present on GUILT and a showing will be had of his operation. I shall be presenting on the Rosalia Virus.
Regarding the Rosalia Virus, the natural host has arrived in Somarium as of two weeks ago. It is imperative that a serum be developed for this city lest an outbreak occur. I have made the serum once before, but it is not currently with me. I request the use of one of your labs to develop it once again. Should you like to assist, you are more than welcome to do so.
How much interest do you have in looking for a medication to cure a severe strain of viral hemorrhagic fever? [spoilers: he's only asking to be polite, you'd better have an interest in this, Victor]
I don't know how much you know about that quarantine in Portland a year or so ago or the virus responsible for it, but the virus' natural host is here in Somarium now. Dr. Kimishima--I don't know if you know her, either, but she's a friend of mine and used to work at Caduceus Europe--is here, as well, and she worked on developing medication for this back home, but it's obviously not here. I'm sure there are ways you can probably improve on whatever she came up with, but you'd have to ask her for more details on that.
She hasn't started here in Somarium yet. She needs a lab to do that, and I'm not sure if she's been given clearance for that yet.
Back home, though, I assume she found something that cured it, but I don't know about any side-effects or ways it could have been improved. You would have to ask her.
You want me to look into your condition, right? That requires drawing blood for study. Gotta schedule that to make sure it's done without letting the virus loose again.

I'm Yuuki... or Koide, either one is fine.

Yo, Yuuki. Stiles hasn't told me anything about your condition, so let's start with a summary.
[There's no need to introduce himself again, in his opinion.]
